Pea Soup
Pea Soup

Ingredients for three hungry persons:
- Four decilitres of yellow peas
- Twelve decilitres of water
- One stock cube
- Mustard
- One big onion, chopped
- Ginger, a lot
- One or two cloves of garlic, pressed
- Salt
- Red pepper powder, just a pinch
- Black pepper
- Marjoram
- Thyme
- Olive oil
Put the peas in a bowl filled with water.
Let the peas soak in the water for at least ten hours and then rinse the peas under fresh water in a colander.
Now you can begin with the actual cooking.
Fill a pot with the twelve deciliters of water and add the stock cube, some mustard and the peas.
Let it simmer for half an hour.
You will now notice how some of the peas have shed their shells; which you should remove.
Add the rest of the ingredients and spices.
Let the soup simmer for at least half an hour.
If too much water steam off, add some more.
Keep the lid on the pot troughtout the cooking process and stir every ten minutes or so.
The soup i done when you feel the peas have achieved the appropiate consistency.
When serving the soup, pour it up in pleasurable bowls and put some mustard in the center of the bowl.
You can also put the soup in the freeze and consume at a later time.
