Longboarding in Umeå The following series of photos and movie clips are taken in Umeå during the summer months. Umeå has quite the selection of downhill. There are those long footpaths with slight slope and then there are the steep and busy streets. Generally I prefer the former and try my best to not ride the later. Per, who never had tried longboarding before, borrowed Anna-Karin's board and took the lead. Late in august Umeå Longboard Association organized the first official downhill competition in Umeå. There were quite a lot of people there and the atmosphere was warm and down to earth. Three concrete riders take the final curve.
